Humane Pest Control

Prevention is better than cure
Prevention is better than cure. This old saying definitely applies to pest control as well. Inhumane methods are becoming less and less accepted.
Every year, around 3.4 million mice and rats die in painful ways due to the use of poison, traps, and other harmful methods—simply because they are seen as pests. That’s why we strongly believe that prevention is the better option. It’s also much more animal-friendly!
Pest control products can be humane—as long as they’re used correctly by a professional pest controller. Each method requires specific expertise. Millionbugs knows exactly how to use the right products and techniques to keep pest control as kind and effective as possible.
What can you do yourself?
To prevent pests, the first step is obvious: keep your home clean. Don’t leave food scraps lying around, and store food in sealed containers. Mice can easily chew through cardboard and plastic.
What people often forget is that pests love tall grass—it offers them cover from predators. So keep the grass around your home short.
Also, seal up any entry points in your home. Pay extra attention to areas around pipes, vents, doorframes, windows, and baseboards.

Full protection requires an expert
Rats and mice can enter your home through a hole as small as 5 millimetres! That makes it very difficult to detect all the entry points yourself. We know exactly where to look—from cavity walls and crawl spaces to pipe inlets and hidden cracks. With years of experience and a trained eye, Millionbugs detects the places you’d likely never notice yourself.
Avoid using (unauthorized) pest control products on your own. We know exactly which treatments are the most humane and are happy to provide you with additional prevention tips tailored to your situation.
